Culinary Workshop: A Complete Italian Meal 7/27/19

This class is a part of our series of Culinary Workshops, where we invite a small group to the Caromont Kitchen to partake in an interactive afternoon of cooking, learning, and sharing our final product around the table. These workshops are casual and intimate, focusing more on ingredients, culinary culture, and company, than recipes and technique.

Gail Hobbs-Page, owner of Caromont Farm, spent the month of October traveling through Italy. She visited small dairy farms, meandered through farmers markets talking to local producers, and of course, enjoyed long, simple meals, both in restaurants and in friends' homes. Join us in the Caromont Kitchen as Gail cooks through a coursed out meal inspired by the dishes that came to her over and over again during her trek through Piemonte, Toscana, & Liguria.

Culinary Workshop: Family Style Filipino 2/17/19

This class is a part of our series of Culinary Workshops, where we invite a small group to the Caromont Kitchen to partake in an interactive afternoon of cooking, learning, and sharing our final product around the table. These workshops are casual and intimate, focusing more on ingredients, culinary culture, and company, than recipes and technique.

Family Style Filipino will be taught by PK Ross, owner of Splendora's Gelato Cafe, and her "Pops." They are originally from Luzon, which is located in the northern Philippines, and is the largest and most populous island. They are both amazing home cooks, which PK attributes mostly to her paternal grandmother, Lola Estela. Join us as they graciously share a few of their family recipes for dishes such as ukoy and lumpia, classic, every day foods that are tweaked from one generation to the next and from family to family. Please note that this class is not the best option for those with allergies/aversions to fish or shellfish as bagoong and fish sauce factor heavily in Filipino cuisine.
