It's that time again! We have 100+ baby goats on the way and we need help cleaning barns, tending to equipment, and feeding and cuddling the kids. Caromont Farm, in partnership with the farm therapy nonprofit, A Fertile Foundation, is putting out the call for an awesome group of volunteers to come out to the farm for a scheduled shift of your choosing. You will work alongside our team to keep the baby goats healthy and happy and learn about what goes into a day on the farm. Some days may be wet or cold and you are bound to get your boots dirty, but the goats need to be cared for RAIN OR SHINE.
We have made the morning shift a bit longer as we do most of our farm work earlier on in the day. There will be feeding and cuddling going on during both shifts.
We will have SEPARATELY SCHEDULED OPEN HOUSES (see tickets below) for small children and those who may want more of a leisurely day of farm touring and goat cuddling, so we expect our volunteers to come ready and able to work outside.
We will most likely NOT be adding weekend volunteer slots, as we hope to reserve these times for open houses and farm therapy group sessions.
If the slots are filled, please follow our Facebook and check out our website for more opportunities to visit the farm. We may add another round of volunteer slots, but will wait to see how the season progresses first. We will announce all of this on our Facebook and website. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any other questions.
Can't wait to see you all!
